To activate Ranorex Subscription License, follow the steps below. Also, find some troubleshooting tips in case any issues arise during activation.
Requirements
To successfully activate and validate a subscription license, ensure the following:
- Ability to connect via HTTPS (port 443).
- https://keygen.sh/ and all of its subdomains are whitelisted in your network/firewall settings.
- Installed versions:
- To use the online subscription licensing model, ensure you use Ranorex Studio version 12.1.2 or higher.
- To use the self-hosted subscription licensing model, ensure you use Ranorex Studio version 12.5.0 or higher.
- Download and install Ranorex Studio using the following link: Ranorex Studio Downloads.
- After installation, open Ranorex Studio. Navigate to the Help menu in the top toolbar, then select Licensing… to open the Configure Ranorex License dialog.
- In the License dialog, select the Subscription option to proceed with subscription-based licensing.
-
Enter the License Key provided, click Validate to confirm, and continue the activation process.
If you encounter a validation error, ensure your license is still valid; otherwise, renew it. If the error message states that the maximum activations have been reached, deactivate any unused machines to free up activations.
Install Self-Hosted Subscription License
Before configuring your Self-Hosted Subscription License in Ranorex Studio, make sure you have completed these previous steps:
Once you have completed the activation of your license in the Ranorex Subscription License Manager (self-hosted), complete these steps to let Ranorex Studio use it:
- Open Ranorex Subscription License Manager, in the Licenses tab, and copy the License Key and upload License file (.lic)
- Launch Ranorex Studio and, on the Welcome screen, select I have a license option.
- In the Configure Ranorex License window, select Floating under the Subscription option.
- In the Enter your subscription key field, paste the key generated by Subscription License Manager from the License Key column, not the value in the Original Key column.
-
Open the Advanced settings, then enter the License Manager URL.
When connecting from another machine, specify the IP address of the machine running Subscription License Manager. - Click Validate, and when validation succeeds, click OK.
You’re all set. Ranorex Studio will now start with your self-hosted subscription license.
