If license validation fails behind a proxy that requires NTLM or basic authentication, configure the proxy settings in the Configure Ranorex License dialog.
Previously, license validation behind authenticated proxies could fail with the following error:

Manual whitelisting is no longer the only solution for authenticated proxy environments. Click Configure Proxy and enter the proxy server and authentication settings required by your network.
Proxy credentials are securely stored in Windows Credential Manager.
