Use this article to troubleshoot Floating License issues when Ranorex cannot connect to the Ranorex License Manager.
Issue
The Ranorex License Manager displays a connection error when the underlying Windows service stops.
This can occur if an antivirus program flags the service as a false positive.
Solution
Try the following solutions in order.
Restart the Ranorex License Manager service
- Open Windows Task Manager.
- Go to the Services tab.
- Locate the following service:
RanorexLicenseService - Restart the service.
Reinstall Ranorex License Manager
If the service fails to restart, reinstall the Ranorex License Manager.
