Different display-scaling values across connected monitors may affect object recognition. Ranorex may identify an incorrect element, fail to track an element, or calculate its position incorrectly when the displays use different scaling configurations.
Use the same scaling value on all displays
Set the scaling value of every connected display to 100%:
- In Windows, open Settings > System > Display.
- Select each connected display.
- Under Scale & layout, set Scale to 100%.
- Repeat these steps for all connected displays.
- Sign out of Windows and sign in again if Windows requests it.
- Restart Ranorex Studio and the AUT.
- Track or validate the affected element again.
Keep the scaling value consistent across all displays used during test creation and execution.
Note: Setting all displays to 100% may change the size of text and applications. If this configuration is impractical, use a single display with 100% scaling when creating and running the affected test.
