If Ranorex Studio cannot recognize all elements in a Win32 application, review the privilege levels and processor architectures used by Ranorex and the application under test (AUT).
Ranorex and the AUT use different privilege levels
Object recognition may be limited when the Ranorex tools and the AUT run with different privilege levels.
Close the AUT and all Ranorex tools. Then, restart them using the same privilege level. If the AUT requires administrator privileges, run the Ranorex tools as an administrator as well.
The 32/64-bit bridge could not start
The 32/64-bit bridge is required when the Ranorex tools or test executable and the automated process use different processor architectures.
If the bridge cannot start, object recognition may be limited. Contact Ranorex Support for assistance.
The 32/64-bit bridge is disabled
When the Ranorex tools or test executable and the automated process use different processor architectures, disabling the 32/64-bit bridge can limit object recognition.
To enable the bridge:
- In Ranorex Studio, open Settings.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Enable 32/64 Bit Bridge.
- Restart the Ranorex tools and the AUT.
