To automate Android OS, Ranorex Studio requires access to a Java Development Kit (JDK). If you have installed JDK 17+, you need to configure Ranorex Studio to use it. This ensures that all mobile automation features work correctly with your environment.
Set the JDK path
You define the location of your JDK through the Ranorex Studio settings.
- Open Ranorex Studio.
- Navigate to Settings > Plugins > User settings > Mobile.
- Locate the Java runtime installation path field.
- Enter the path or click the browse button to select the folder where you installed the JDK (for example, C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-17).
- Save your changes.
Once you set this path, Ranorex Studio automatically uses this JDK for Android automation.
