Installa and Update Automation Helpers

Ranorex Automation Helpers provide code modules and user code methods that simplify your test automation. You install and update these helpers directly within Ranorex Studio.

You add the Automation Helpers to any Ranorex Studio as follows:

1. Open the Add Ranorex Automation Helpers window in one of the following ways:
   • In the Projects view, click the Add Ranorex Automation Helpers icon
     
   • Or, right-click the Solution and click Ranorex Automation Helpers > Add Automation Helpers.
     
2. In the dialog that appears, click Add Automation Helpers.
   
3. After the success message displays, click Close.
   

Once the process finishes, a new library module project named Ranorex Automation Helpers appears in the Projects view (1) and the Module browser (2).

Ranorex frequently releases new content for the Automation Helpers. Follow these steps to keep them up to date:

1. Right-click the solution and click Ranorex Automation Helpers > Update Automation Helpers. The package manager opens on the Updates tab.
2. Select the Automation Helpers from the list.
3. If your solution contains only one project, click Add. If your solution contains multiple projects, click Manage and select the specific projects you want to update.
