The Ranorex Studio start page is the starting point where you can create a new solution or open an existing one. It also provides the latest information from Ranorex.
Many of the sections on this page are updated regularly and require an active internet connection.
- Start section: Control center for creating a new solution or opening an existing solution
- Recent solutions: List of recently opened solutions
- Sample solutions: List of available sample solutions you can open and explore.

License information: Shows your current license type and expiration date. If you are using the free trial, the remaining time displays. Click this area to leardmore about your current license.

Release highlights and announcements: Shows announcements such as new Ranorex Studio releases, upcoming webinars, and the latest articles from our automated testing blog.
Switch between light and dark themes
Ranorex Studio is available in both light and dark themes.
- Click Tools > Options…
- Under General > Appearance expand Theme and select Light or Dark.
Note: You need to restart Ranorex Studio for the theme change to take effect.
Version information
To view more details about your version of Ranorex Studio, follow the steps below:
- Go to Help > About in the menu bar.
The About dialog shows detailed information about your Ranorex Studio version, edition, and license.
Available update
When you connect to the internet, Ranorex Studio automatically verifies whether the current release is installed. If a newer version is available, an information bar appears on the start page, similar to the example below.
License information
Click the license information area for details about your current license model.
