Ranorex Studio 12.8.2 Release (September 23, 2026)
This release includes updates for Ranorex Studio and the Self-Hosted Subscription License Manager (SLM).

This release includes performance and stability optimizations for WebDriver web test execution, enhancements to licensing metadata, and fixes for maps, JavaFX, iOS, and more.
Improvements and fixes
- Improved WebDriver element evaluation performance by reducing unnecessary logging and refresh overhead during web UI test execution.
- Fixed a memory leak in WebDriver-based tests where screenshots were not released between captures, which could increase memory usage during long-running tests.
- Improved web element action performance (such as clicks and text input) by reducing delays caused by refreshing the full page structure after each action, lowering latency during web UI test execution.
- Fixed an issue where markers added via a
MapViewinternal overlay system using the Osmdroid library were not recognized by Ranorex as standalone UI elements. - Fixed an issue where the expansion label or node of an expanded row in JavaFX
TableViewdid not span all columns, making it difficult for Ranorex Spy to identify as a separate accessible element. - Fixed an issue where the
LineageGlueRule'uia_window'failedArgumentExceptionduring execution because it could not find the required event handler. - Fixed an issue where virtual keyboard actions failed when the iOS software keyboard was hidden.
- Updated license activation process to include the operating system username and IP address in the Keygen machine metadata.
- Fixed an issue where the prerequisite installer failed to install the VC++ Redistributable on clean Windows 11 installations.
Subscription License Manager (SLM) 1.0.3
Improvements and fixes
- Added a Subscription License Manager customer portal that shows active license seat holders, including OS username, machine name, and IP address, so customers can see who is consuming their subscription license seats.
- Added a notification in the Subscription License Manager when the Windows IP Helper service is not running, helping users identify the cause when registered licenses and machine information temporarily disappear.
